Explore your global interests…

The Center for International Education, with generous support from the Provost’s Office, has funding available each year to support full-time faculty members who aim to contribute to the following campus internationalization efforts:

  • International research and creative work
  • Efforts that increase Adelphi student participation in study abroad (semester-long or faculty-led)
  • Develop a course (or adjust an existing course) that is global in nature.
  • Develop an international institutional partnership to further bilateral student exchange.

Sample activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct archival research or engage in filming and/or photography.
  • Travel to a future faculty-led program destination to vet contacts, facilities, and program activities.
  • Conduct a site visit to a study abroad destination to increase semester study abroad in your discipline by engaging in course mapping.
  • Leverage existing connections to develop an international institutional partnership to further student exchange, joint research, etc.
  • Develop and present a performance or exhibition of multicultural/international themed content.
  • Conduct international research to develop a future course that satisfies the global designation.
  • Participate in an International Faculty Development Seminar, administered by the Council of International Educational Exchange (CIEE).

The grant provides up to $5000 to support relevant project expenses and is not limited to international travel.
